The MCHA 2026 Fall/2027 Winter Season will feature a 'Silver' and a 'Bronze' division:

SILVER DIVISION:

  • Silver is intended for intermediate players who played in semi-competitive youth levels, or who learned to play as adults and have built up sufficient skill and experience to have parity with such players.
  • Silver is a blended level and is generally comparable to other DFW middle/lower C and upper D leagues.
  • Players actively upper C or higher in other DFW leagues who have done so in the past 12 months are generally ineligible for the MCHA Silver division.

BRONZE DIVISION:

  • Bronze is a 35+ division intended for novice players who may have played organized youth hockey but did not play at competitive levels, who played in semi-competitive youth level but are now in their late 40s or older (and slowing down accordingly), or who learned to play as adults and have built up sufficient skill and experience to have parity with such players.
  • Bronze is a blended level and is generally comparable to other DFW middle/lower D leagues.
  • Players actively playing any level of C in other DFW leagues, who have done so in the past 12 months are generally ineligible for the MCHA Bronze division.

If you are not sure which division is right for you, please refer to the recommendations from MCHA below based on the highest level you have played as a youth, and your age.

Please note that these are guidelines and the you may be placed in a different level based on your individual background. Eligibility decisions are made by MCHA leadership based on multiple factors, and may be moved and/or rated out mid-season or between seasons at the discretion of the MCHA leadership.
