2026 Spring/Summer Free Agent List
The FREE AGENT LIST is now OPEN for the MCHA 2026 SPRING/SUMMER Season
If you are interested in playing on an MCHA team for the 2026 Spring/Summer season, please fill out the Google form below.
- Season dates: February - August
- Game times & location: 4:30pm - 9:00pm, Allen Community Ice Rink
- Number of games: TBD, but between 12 - 16 regular season games and a minimum of 2 playoff games
- Cost: $32/game
If there are no available spots, you will be placed on our waiting list. If a spot opens up in the future (someone backs out, gets injured, etc.) we may contact you (via the email you use in the form below) with a link to register and pay for the season. Your registration fees will be pro-rated based on the number of remaining games and whether you will have an opportunity to qualify for playoffs.
The MCHA 2026 Spring/Summer Season will feature a 'Silver' and a 'Bronze' division:
SILVER DIVISION:
- Silver is intended for intermediate players who played in semi-competitive youth levels, or who learned to play as adults and have built up sufficient skill and experience to have parity with such players.
- Teams in Silver could include players formerly from IHL/SPAHL C3, C2, and the lower end of C1.
- Players actively Upper C or higher in SSHL, SPAHL, or NyTex, who have done so in the past 12 months are generally ineligible for the MCHA Silver division, as are any players formerly rated as “B-exempt” with MCHA.
BRONZE DIVISION:
- Bronze is a 35+ division intended for novice players who may have played organized youth hockey but did not play at competitive levels, who played in semi-competitive youth level but have slowed down with age, or who learned to play as adults and have built up sufficient skill and experience to have parity with such players.
- Teams in Bronze could include players formerly from IHL/SPAHL D2, D1, and the lower end of C3.
- Players actively playing any level of C in SSHL, SPAHL or NyTex, who have done so in the past 12 months are generallyineligible for the MCHA Bronze division.
If you are not sure which division is right for you, please refer to the recommendations from MCHA below based on the highest level you have played as a youth, and your age.
Please note that these are guidelines and the you may be placed in a different level based on your individual background. Eligibility decisions are made by MCHA leadership based on multiple factors, and may be moved and/or rated out mid-season or between seasons at the discretion of the MCHA leadership.

*Note: Players who are 18 must have aged out of USAH youth eligibility before they can play in any adult league in the TAHA region. For the 2026 Spring/Summer season, players must be born in 2006 or earlier.
