An Important Announcement from MCHA: Returning to our Roots
MCHA would like to announce that we will be stepping back from the SPAHL effective at the end of the current season, and re-focusing on a smaller, more intentional discipleship program based out of the Allen rink. SPAHL will continue on without direct involvement from MCHA. This decision comes after careful reflection and prayer - the goal of this program is to put ourselves in the best place possible to share the gospel, build fellowship among believers and like-minded athletes, and equip those athletes to go reach the unchurched in secular leagues (such as SPAHL and the rest of the SSHL), in accordance with our mission statement:
“We exist to share the love of Christ through camaraderie and a great hockey experience!”
This program will have a limited capacity to ensure a clear focus, and will play Sunday afternoons/evening following the MCHA tradition. If you are interested in being part of this program, please put your name on our free agent list here: https://www.mchaonline.org/fall-2025-free-agent-list
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Keith Andreson, Dan Morris, John Naylor, Allison Carlson, Connor Moss, and the rest of the StarCenter organization leadership for allowing us to be part of the inaugural SPAHL seasons. We wish nothing but continued success for them and the players and teams who continue with SPAHL!
Please follow the MCHA Facebook page for more details on the upcoming season as they are announced!
